HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra Wants to Know if You’re Vaccinated or Not

The federal government has no business prying into the medical affairs of ordinary citizens. Sadly, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra doesn’t seem to realize that.

Speaking to the press about the White House’s decision to send activists door-to-door to boost vaccinations, Secretary Becerra announced in no uncertain terms that the government has a right to know who does and doesn’t already have the shot.

“The federal government has spent trillions of dollars to keep Americans alive during this pandemic, so it is absolutely the government’s business, it is taxpayer’s business if we have to keep trying to spend money to keep people from contracting COVID and helping reopen the economy,” he said.

Secretary Becerra’s assertions come as Republican politicians voice concerns over President Biden’s plans to target conservative areas with low vaccination rates. While individuals don’t have to answer the door, one has to wonder if the information provided by those who do speak with the President’s advocates will be recorded for future reference. One also has to wonder what the government will do with any information it collects.

It’s true that the Biden Administration presently has no plans to issue vaccine passports or require Americans to get the shot in order to work or attend school, that doesn’t mean Americans will always have that freedom. Some public officials and even some journalists have called for government vaccine requirements, and it could be only a matter of time before blue states and even the federal government cave in to their demands.

Individuals should have the right to choose which medications to take and which to abstain from. Parents of children over the age of 12 have the right to decide what types of medications their children do and do not receive. After all, if children have a negative side effect from the shot, it is the parents who must deal with the aftermath, not government bureaucrats. The government has no business accessing the personal information of any individual living in a free nation.

As conservative pundits have rightly noted, the creation of vaccine passports would not help “fully reopen the economy” as liberals claim. Rather, it would limit economic activity by shutting hundreds of millions of individuals out. Vaccine skeptics, those who are concerned about the many well-known side effects of experimental COVID-19 jabs, and those who can’t get vaccinated for medical reasons would be unable to lead normal lives.

Democrats such as Secretary Becerra seem to care far more about controlling the lives and decisions of American citizens than actually ensuring people have access to the medical care they need.

  1. Any person, be they citizen or government bureaucrat, who may desire or propose the ‘mandatory injection’ of any ‘so-called’ vaccine, can without doubt, simply self-administer to themselves the CCP anal swab and then get-the-hell out of my life! PERIOD!
