The American Civil Liberties Union was founded in 1920 with the stated goal of defending and preserving “the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person” in the United States. These days, it seems the organization is currently unable to define what liberty actually is.
The ACLU recently published an op-ed in the New York Times hailing the onslaught of vaccine mandates throughout the United States, telling readers that being forced to take an unwanted medication constitutes a “victory for civil liberties”.
The op-ed, penned by the ACLU’s national legal director and the director for the organization’s program on freedom of religion and belief, told the press that the vaccine is a “justifiable” intrusion on bodily integrity, and later stated that the right to make one’s own health care decision is “not absolute.”
The duo then went on to state that forcing people to get the COVID-19 jab is a “victory” for civil liberties because it protects people of color and individuals who are unable to get vaccinated from the novel coronavirus. The statements are absurd on many levels, especially when one considers the fact that the ACLU is well-known for its pro-abortion stance. Asserting that women have the right to murder their unborn children because they “have a right to make their own medical decisions” is blatantly hypocritical.
Medical professionals openly admit that getting the COVID-19 shot doesn’t necessarily prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Fully vaccinated people can transmit COVID-19 to others even if they themselves don’t experience symptoms.
In a free nation, individuals have the right to make their own medical decisions. Those who want the COVID-19 shots and/or booster shots should feel free to get them. Those who are vaccine-hesitant should be allowed to make up their minds at their own pace. Those who adamantly refuse to get vaccinated should be able to do so. Sadly, the Biden Administration and its acolytes in the media have joined the ACLU in dumping on basic human rights by pushing for mandatory vaccines and draconian punishments for those who refuse.
Some have gone so far as to suggest that people without the shot should not be allowed into grocery stores. The Biden administration has openly pushed businesses to force employees to choose between getting the shot or getting fired. While some would argue that such policies are needed to eradicate the novel coronavirus, these tyrannical laws should never be confused with freedoms and civil liberties.
The ACLU would do well to remember what it once stood for, because this is so far from it.

Alas, ACLU=ISIS. ACLU, is just another domestic terrorist organization like ANTIFA and BLM. They do not support mainstream civil liberties, but cherry pick the rights they agree with. If they were true to their goal, they’d be fighting vehemently for second amendment rights and the rights of 1300 murdered babies daily. ACLU IS FULL OF S.H.I.T! The ACLU is a socialist org. Their main socialist founder Roger Baldwin was against the creation of Israel in 1948. Baldwin was a self denying, George Soros type Jew.
